How would you like the chance to live in the childhood home of a serial killer?
What if I told you that it’s also the same house where he killed his first victim? Still not interested? Well, you don’t know what you’re missing!
It sounds like a prank, but the childhood home of America’s favorite cannibal is now available for rent in the beautiful wilderness of Akron, Ohio.
The “mid-century modern home with a true park-like setting” was the childhood house of serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer. The home has been on the market since 2014, but so far, no one’s bitten (pun intended)…go figure!
Now the owners have put the house up for rent ahead of this summer’s Republican National Convention.
For a measly, $10,000 per month, you can live in the three-bedroom house where Dahmer grew up and later went on to kill his first victim in the summer of 1978.
The victim was a young hitchhiker by the name of Steven Hicks. Dahmer brought Hicks back to the home under the pretense of drinking beer and hanging out.
After a while, Hicks went to leave, Dahmer flew into a rage and bludgeoned him with a ten-pound dumbbell. He then strangled the boy, killing him.
Dahmer dismembered the corpse in the home’s hidden crawlspace, which presumably still exists, then buried the pieces in his backyard. He later went on to dig up the body parts, dissolve the flesh in acid, and crush the bones with a sledgehammer.
By the time police arrested Dahmer in 1991, there was no trace of Hicks’ body in the backyard or at the old home.

I don’t know about you, but if I had a spare $10k, I would totally rent that house out for the summer. Who knows what kind of ghosts are still lurking inside…
